Brood bitches...

I bought my first brood bitch fom kennel "Liberline" in 1981... At that time Norwegian breeders started all over again, as we became aware that the old Norwegian lines carried a ressecive gene for a deadly desease called leukodystrophy. Dalmatians were imported from Scandinavia and England and my "Mira" was almost pure Finnish. Her name was Liberline`s Dizzy Miss Lizzy and she was born on the 16.september 1981. Sire: Timankas Pep Talk Dam: Int.Ch. Luonnonpuiston Ulinette. She had three Perdita litters. Her last litter was fathered by Coaching Jovial Jarvey and here came her only champion off-spring N.Ch. Perditas Picasso and N.S.Ch. Perditas Pernille (1984). All her off- spring had names starting with the letter P.

I kept Pernille and she had four litters, Perditas No Miss from her first litter stayed on-She was born in 1987 and fathered by Dallas Nordic Sky. Pernille gave me no champions. All her off spring had names starting with the letter N.

Perditas No Miss had five litters and she became the mother of nine champions.

In her first litter fathered by N.S.Ch. Timankas Talented Clown, came N.Ch. Perditas Long Live Love I kept her myself and later on I should be very happy for having done just that. N.S.Ch.N.V.-93 Perditas Let`m Talk was bought and bred from by kennel Timanka and N.Ch. Perditas Last Trump fathered one litter in Norway. N.Ch. Peditas Lucky Strike also gained the title champion.

Her second litter fathered by Int.Nord.Ch. Dalmos Educated Edgar gave S.DK.Ch. Perditas La Franca, bought and bred from by kennel Farliga F. in Sweden, N.S.Ch. Perditas Loveme or Leaveme bought and bred from by kennel Fjellbrura in Norway, N.Ch. Perditas Lawbreaker fathered one litter in Finland at kennel Doh-Hill. The fourth champion from this litter was N.Ch. Perditas Lazy Looker.

In her last litter fathered by Liberlines Easy Come came N.S.Ch. Perditas Last Refrain a bitch that decided she did not want any litters Perditas Last L. from Lillan bought and bred from in Sweden and Perditas Link to Suomi bought and bred from in Finland. All her offspring has names starting with the letter L.

N.Ch. Perditas Long Live Love born on the 5. October 1990 should prove to be the most marvellous brood bitch any breeder could hope for. She gave good off-spring in all her litters and has her name on a great many pedigrees both in Norway and in many other countries.

In her first litter fathered by Int.Ch. Dalmos Educated Edgar came N.Uch. Perditas Key to Heaven which I kept myself and Int.Ch. Perditas Knock on Wood owned and bred from by kennel Curias in Denmark, Perditas Keep Smiling had one litter bred by kennel Vet-Spot in Norway.

In her second litter fathered by Dalmings Easter Parade came Int.Ch. Perditas Keen Observer bred from by myself and so sold to Germany where he has a great many litters (19) both in Germany and in other European countries owned by kennel Vom Gramzower Kloster. Other sons from this litter is Perditas Kick Off who has fathered five litters in Norway and Perditas Kind O`Smart who has fathered four.

In her third litter fathered by Ch. Perditas Just in Time came N.S.Ch. Perditas Knight O`Night bred from by kennel Svolvaergjeita in Norway. Sf.Ch. Perditas Killing me Softly owned and bred from by kennel Firehouse in Finland and Perditas Keep Track owned and bred from by kennel Gwynmor in Holland. Here came also a daughter Perditas Kimberley who had one litter by a private breeder.

In Long Live Love`s fourth litter again fathered by Ch. Dalmos Educated Edgar came Multich. Perditas Kiss me better owned and bred from by kennel Spotnik and kennel Papermoon in Norway, N.S.Ch. Perditas Keep an Eye on me owned and bred from by kennel Toots in Norway, Perditas Kick to Dalmo bred from by that kennel , also one son from this litter Ch. Perditas Kicking up a Fuss has fathered one litter in Norway.

Her fifth litter was again fathered by Ch. Perditas Just in Time and gave Int.Nord.Ch. Perditas Kind Hearted having had one litter at kennel Dalmrosa in Norway, Perditas Kickspot sold to Germany and Perditas Knock about sold to Finland where he has had a couple of litters so far. This should of course be her last litter but she decided different and mated her son Keen Observer -how I`ll never know-but she got a daughter Nord.Ch. Perditas Kind O`Magic bought by kennel Svolvaergjeita in Norway where she has had three litters. All Ch. Perditas Long Live Love`s off-spring has names starting with the letter K.

As mentioned above, I kept Ch. Perditas Key to Heaven, born in 1993-she was first mated to T-Cart Unicus and I kept Ch. Perditas I presume, and her brother Perditas Inside Information. Perditas I presume had one litter fathered by Perditas Keen Observer, Perditas H-litter. Perditas Inside Information had eleven litters in Norway (no Perditas) before he went to Germany where he has had 18 litters so far. Two more sisters and a brother are bred from in Norway.

In Perdita Key to Heavens second litter fathered by Ch. Perditas Just in Time came Perditas Improved Issue I kept her and she had Perdita G- litter . Two of her sisters were also bred from, Perditas Ironic Item and Perditas I Insist.

I was not too happy with Key to Heavens two first litters as the puppies varied too much in type and gave in their turn off spring of different types. So I decided to mate her to Perditas High And Mighty. He was her grandson through his mother, Perditas I presume and also her nephew as both his father, Perditas Keen Observer, and herself were Long Live Love`s offspring. Are you still with me? I hope so because it is getting worse.

In this her third litter I got back the type, this was in 1998, and so far none from this litter have been put into breeding. I have one daughter Perditas Inter Action by me, and she is expecting her first litter next month, beeing mated to Ch. Jillocs A man in the Mirror. Again an outcross but of a very similar type, so I`m hoping....

Then Perditas Key to Heaven had a litter for kennel T-Cart in Sweden, and gave this breeder Ch. T-Cart Irish Coffee.

All her litters had been few in numbers and as the father of Ch. Perditas Just in Time and Ch. Perditas Keen Observer was getting old and because of a traffic accident rather weak, I decided to let him father her last litter. His name Dalmings Easter Parade - the result Ch. Perditas Inkasso. As you might have guessed all Key to Heaven`s offspring has names starting with the letter I. The table below should make it easier to see my breeding on Perditas Key to Heaven.

*** From her third litter sired by Perditas High and Mighty, I kept Perditas Inter Action, she is expecting her first litter in March 2002. She is mated to Multi Ch. Jillocīs A man in the Mirror and I am hoping for an nice daughter.

In the litter from which I kept Perditas Flower Power (01) as the only one without "well known- dalmatian faults" I got two with blue eyes, one with missing nose pigmentation and for the first time two puppies with yellow spots. It is obvious that if you breed too close you will run a great risk of getting these faults as almost every dalmatian carry the genes for unwanted pigmentation - except yellow/orange. The last is easy to avoid if you are a "nonfault" breeder, as we know the carriers or get to know them.

Then in 2001 I got back a blackspotted sister of Perditas High and Mighty and I decided to mate her to Ch. Perditas Just in Time. The litter was born on the 27.12. 2001 - I`ll keep one puppy as this litter of nine puppies were faultless except for one blue eye.

You might have noticed that in many litters I have been mating my bitches to Perdita dogs. I have many reasons for this. These are dogs I know very well for better and for worse, and so I feel prepared for what is coming. Another advantage is that I get to know what are in the genes of my dogs. I am 99% sure that I have avoided the risk of my dogs carrying ARDS genes. On the other hand I am 100% sure that Inkasso carries the gene for yellow spotting and 99% sure that High And Mighty also is a carrier for this unwanted colouring. But if you have to choose between two evils and in dogbreeding that is just what you have to do I prefer pigmentation faults from health risks. This is the story of my brood bitches up till now. We will see what the future will bring. Iīm however sure it will be something to do with dalmatians.
